Die Landschaft der Franko-Flamen | Huelgas Ensemble

  • Kölner Philarmonie 1 Bischofsgartenstraße Köln, NRW, 50667 Germania (map)

The Franco-Flemish composers of the Renaissance shaped the art of polyphonic singing: music that never fails to make an impact and is perfect for exploring the acoustic possibilities of the Kölner Philharmonie, according to the famous Huelgas Ensemble from Belgium.

Depending on where the singers of the Huelgas Ensemble position themselves in the hall, the acoustics of the Kölner Philharmonie can be experienced and enjoyed in very different ways - from intimate three-part harmony to twelve-part canon structures. The wonder of polyphony in the Renaissance music of the Franco-Flemish school can thus be experienced very vividly: New sound spaces open up and it is as if the hall had been waiting to reveal its acoustic secrets.
